Shipping to the United Kingdom

For deliveries to the United Kingdom, customs information must be entered as of December 14, 2020.

From the start of 2021, the UK will no longer be part of the EU’s customs and tax treaty applicable to trading. Brexit will introduce changes to the way items are sent to the UK, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar. In the future, parcels to the UK will be sent in the same way as to other non-EU countries, such as China or Russia.

The change is visible to Pakettikauppa’s customers, as from December 14, 2020, shipments to the UK must be accompanied by a more detailed breakdown of the contents of the shipment as required by the customs form CN23. If customs information has not been entered, the delivery cannot be created.

By preparing for the change in advance, we can ensure that our customers’ shipments arrive in a timely manner. If a delivery made at the end of the year takes a long time to reach the UK and arrives in the country without customs information after 1 January, 2021, the delivery might be delayed even further. For this reason, we recommend that customs information be added to shipments well in advance.

Instructions: Shipping outside the EU

If the e-commerce platform you are using allows you to add customs information, you can add it there. You can also add the information from the Pakettikauppa dashboard. When a delivery is created, the customs form will be printed automatically.
