Pakettikauppa’s shipments are charged according to either the volume weight or the actual weight of the parcel, always depending on whichever is higher.
You do not need to know the volume and weight of the parcel in advance, as the invoicing is always based on the weight and volume reported to Pakettikauppa by the transport company. The measurement used for the calculation of the volume weight is 250 kg/m3 (250 g/liter). See examples of volume weight calculation: What is the chargeable weight? The price list shows the exact prices and limitations for each transport company. Prices in the price list are excluding VAT, so the charged amount is the price in the price list + VAT 24%.
